The host venue provides a modern and functional building on top of a hill overlooking the historical city of Trento with a unique view on the beautiful mountains of the Trentino region.
FBK is situated a few kilometers away from Trento center. To reach us, you first get to Trento and then, by bus or car, you can come to Povo, Via Sommarive nr. 18. We do not keep secret the fact that you can get to our institute by walking from Trento, on a nice cobblestones shortcut passing over a river and going on between beautiful houses and wineyards. Did we mention that it is really steep, though :)?
Check any web map available for exact details. If you plan to stay in the city center, make sure that you observe all trafic restrictions and that you have a convenient parking place nearby.
Plane and Trains
Verona “Valerio Catullo”

Verona is the closest airport and trains to Trento run almost every hour. Trains from the other airports run less frequently, so we recommend to check train schedules before booking your flights at the following links:
Trenitalia (Italian State Railways)
Deutsche Bahn (German State Railways)
Obb (Austrian State Railways)
We strongly recommend the local bus service.
Route 5. This is the fastest route up the hill from the city center. The trip takes about 10 minutes. Ask the hotel receptionist for n. 5 closest bus stop, and get off at the “Povo – Facolta' di Scienze” stop just after the blue sign for “Povo”. Bus schedules and bus stop names are displayed on placards at every stop. Tickets can be purchased only at newsstands, at the cost of 1.20€. Get them before boarding so as not to incur in a fine.
Route 13. Getting to FBK Science and Technology Site from the city center takes much longer on this bus, but it might be useful if you are in the southern area of the city. Tickets can be purchased only at newsstands, at the cost of 1.20€. Get them before boarding so as not to incur in a fine.
